  • M.S. or B.S. with 2+ years of experience in Agricultural research, or Ag technical field.
  • Excellent communication – oral, written, under diverse circumstances and audiences. Fluency in English and Turkish required
  • Ability to lead and supervise field crews. Capacity to influence within a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, results orientation
  • Broad knowledge of farming practices & experience in row crop research testing programs
  • Experience with agricultural research equipment and field safety program   
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% of time, mainly in Turkey


Job Definition

  • Supports Safety and Health initiatives with site operation teams. Ensure that local personnel are trained in all ESH procedures, regulatory and compliance protocols. 
  • Trains and participates in the development of people resources and talent at the site. Includes Interns/Coops, new Research Associates, apprentice and contract employees.
  • Responsible for achieving operational excellence by executing high quality field research through close collaboration with site operation teams and local Production Research Scientist. Activities can include searching and contracting of experimental areas; supporting planning of agriculture experimentation; implementation, agronomic management and evaluation of production research trials; and coordinate note collection and data curation. 
  • Ability to learn and apply scientific methods and non-routine techniques for analysis as directed by Research Scientists, protocols and work instructions to deliver quality results based on data collection matrix. 
  • Assist with the cross regional evaluation of research protocols.
  • Records metrics such as key process indicators (KPIs) to help drive continuous process improvements and provide feedback to Research Scientists on suggestions to achieve improved benchmarks from growing season to growing season.
  • Execute day to day coordination of lab/field tasks. Ability to plan, support and allocate routine workflow to other team members and contract employees. 
  • Ensure that field equipment for effective and efficient functioning of all programs. Ensure Lab’s equipment and device proper calibration and checking process
