Qualifications

Fiba Retail is the sole authority to open and operate Marks & Spencer, Gap stores in Turkey and is located in 9 different cities with a total of 86 stores. We are looking for a high caliber member to join us as a “Data Scientist” in our Head Office!

What are we looking for as a “Data Scientist’’?

• BA or MS in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or relevant fields
• Min. 3 years of professional work experience in advanced analytics domain
• Theoretical and applied understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques
• Experienced in solving complex challenges using data analysis and modelling
• Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySparkExposure to Data Visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
• Exposure to analytics for business functions such as operations, supply chain, pricing, marketing, CRM is a plusKnowledge of at least one of the cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Problem solver’s mindset, a pioneer at heart, eager to look beyond the obvious and getting it done

Which responsibilities does a “Data Scientist” have?

• Solve problems, disaggregate issues, develop hypotheses and develop actionable recommendations from data and analysis
• Undertake pre processing of structured and unstructured data
• Transform large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights
• Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms
• Translate analyses to compelling presentations
• Communicate and interact with clients at the executive level
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
